What is Safe + Sound?

SAFE AND SOUND IS A NON-PROFIT COMMITTED TO SEEING PEOPLE FIND TRUE FREEDOM FROM ADDICTION.
WE BELIEVE THAT TRUE FREEDOM CAN ONLY BE FOUND THROUGH A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS AND THAT BY TURNING YOUR LIFE
OVER TO CHRIST, YOU CAN BEGIN TO LET GO OF THE WEIGHT THAT ADDICTION CAUSES.

Safe and Sound Foundation functions as a bridge to bring Jesus to those who are battling or overcoming various types of addiction. 100% of all donations are currently being used to fund housing for individuals that are actively working on their sobriety by living in a half-way or three-quarter home. The benefit of these homes is that addicts are surrounded with community, and accountability so that the chances of relapse are lessened.

Our purpose is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to these individuals by caring for them in a very practical way. Financially. Many addicts relapse because they have no one around them to show them a better way. Often times a person cannot enter into an addiction recovery home because they simply cannot afford it. We believe that anyone actively working toward a better life should have the opportunity to do so, no matter the cost.

Why Jesus?

“FOR THE SON OF MAN CAME TO SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST.” - LUKE 19:10

As imperfect people the thing that separates us from Jesus is sin. Sin is a separator and causes us to believe lies about ourselves, about others, about the world and about God himself. But, we know that Jesus came to save us from that sin. Not solely to have eternal life but also to live an abundant life here on earth. Every person has access to living an abundant life with Christ and we want to help people find their way to Him.

Addiction is a product of sin and often times substance abuse is used to fill a void in a persons life. We know that God’s heart for His people is to see them live in true freedom with Jesus at the center of their lives. We want to communicate the love of Jesus to them in very tangible ways and allow them to experience community that won’t give up on them but will continue to support them in their journey of sobriety. A relationship with Jesus is the only way to experience true transformation and freedom from addiction and to break the cycles of a sinful life.
